Saturday. Usually today is a nice day to get everything done. With that in mind I made my way over to the grocery store after completing the rest of my homework for the day. As I got into my car I noticed something brown poke it's way from behind my passenger side mirror. I had no idea what it was so I took off down the road. Today the weather was great, so I had the windows rolled down and the music blasting. While I was in said situation (driving down the highway mind you) that brown thing that I just imagined was a leaf flew into my window and landed on my passenger side seat. I made eye contact with it. It wasn't a leaf. In case you didn't know, leafs don't have eyes! I know, it was a shocker to me as well.
Turns out it was a lizard. What the heck was a lizard doing in my car!?! Before I even had a chance to think it through... it made it's way into my purse. What a cunundrum I had gotten myself into! I had no idea what I was going to do.
This is where "ditzy Katie" comes in. My manager called and I started to talk to him about a thing or two. These things were not imperitive but they did enough to distract me from the emminent problem that awaited me in my purse. I FORGOT ABOUT THE LIZARD!!! For interest of the story, I will call this lizard "Brownie" for the fact that he looked cute, but to me he was deadly.
I got to the store and put my purse around my arm. Still talking to my manager mind you. Then it happened. Right there in the produce section, I felt something tickle my arm, then side and then... dare I say it, my boobs. Brownie decided to make his way through my shirt up to 2nd base! I screamed so loud! I jumped up and down. Brownie made it safely into the avocadoes. Just in time for everyone in the store to think I was nuts and I'm sure my manager did too.
As I gathered my sanity(ish) and finished my shopping, I couldn't stop laughing as I explained what had happened to me to my manager. He laughed so hard. It was worth it! What a miracle!
